Hey Squirt – its xmas eve and you have gone to bed, sleeping soundly. It took a while though as you were pretty excited cause Santa is coming tonight! I think you have been a very good girl so you should do alright for presents. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow.
We also tryed going for a walk in Golspie today but we only drove 2 miles down the road and you were asleep! We left you in peace and came back home again.
Something else funny happened today – Bindi (my small owl) flew in the living room and landed on your head!!! Unfortunitly you got a bit of a fright and you weren’t too impressed, but Bindi wasn’t too bothered. We better work on getting him to land on your fist, just like Daddy.
See you in the morning!!!
Been kinda quiet around here but I just wanted to say:
Dewby dewby bum bum!
Gee whiz Squirt – we have been soooooo busy! Mummy, daddy and you all put up the xmas tree together. This year I bought you a very special Christmas Angel (just like in your book) and I’m hoping that you will keep it forever. That way every time you put up the Christmas tree it will remind you of Daddy. You gave her a great big kiss but the tree was too tall for you to put the Angel up so Daddy had to do it for you. Its hard top believe that One day you will be able to do it your self although you have had a growth spirt lately?!
Then yesterday I got my climbing gear out. I’m thinking about doing some more climbing again and there is another man who lives in Brora who is also interested. Anyway you too a liking to all the gear and you had to have a go! So I put the harness on and swung you around the kitchen and you laughed and laughed. ‘A big huge one!’ is what you kept saying and I ended up swinging you so much that mummy couldn’t watch any more. Then Mummy had a go in the harness and although the two of us could pick her up she was a bit to heavy to swing. Daddy got tired so I simply hung you from the front door and you were quite happy – for a while at least anyway!
Finally we get to today! I think you had a great time but right now you are very tired and mummy is giving you a bath but I think you are being a bit tricky. We all went to the falls of Shin for a play in the playground and a milkshake. There was a climbing frame in the playground and all that practice yesterday must have help because it was amazing watching you go up the cargo net – it was at least 6ft high! Mummy and I were very proud. We figured that after that you deserved a milkshake so we went inside and what a surprise – There was Santa! The first thing you did was cover your mince pie because you were worried that Santa might eat it – I thought that was really funny. Then after waving to him across the room you went over and asked him if he wanted a cup of tea. He sad that was the first time a child had ever asked him that! You were very cute!
Pia – I had a great day! We went to Inverness and you and I had another milkshake in Starbucks and we shared a muffin while Mummy did some shopping. Your hair was really curly and cute – a lot of people were looking at you today and smiling at the 2 of us. It makes me really proud. We bought you a new top today as well – the one with bikes on it. You liked it so much you wouldn’t take it off so you wore it out the shop!
Then in the car on the way home you sang all the way to Brora!
I’m looking forward to decorating the tree tomorrow.
I was going to leave this blog and only use it once you have gone away but then I thought ‘No. I’ll use it over the next few weeks that we have together so you can remember some of the stuuf we did together’.
So today you and Mummy came to help me do some jobs and we all went to the cafe. You had a chocolate milkshake:
then you ate half of Daddy’s bacon roll:
And you were still hungry so we got you a nice pink doughnut:
I’m pretty sure you’ve had a good day!
Pia – I hope you look at this regularly and keep an eye on what I’m up to. I am going to put lots of pictures on here and even videos! I’ll use this a bit like a diary. Don’t worry though – I’m still going to call all the time and I will also sent you emails. Maybe mummy can help you read it before you go to bed at night? We’ll see.
The most important thing is that you don’t forget – I LOVE YOU!
